After 3 years and 26 days, we returned to visit Esther's grave in Chichicastenango, Guatemala. This time, we had Rebekah with us who turned 17 months today. What a mix of sorrow and joy to go back to the place where our daughter's body lay. God taught us so much through the experience of her life and death. Especially, we learned the depth of the meaning of the words, "God is good," "God is love," "God is faithful," "God's will is perfect," and many more truths.

Although Rebekah cannot yet comprehend her older sister's life, she now has had a tangible experience to look back on in the years to come. We pray that she will be able to learn from what God has taught us through Esther.

What is most amazing is to know that while her little body remains in this cemetery for now, Esther has been with Jesus for 4 years, 6 months, and 10 days as we understand it. But really she has begun eternity in the presence of our God.
