The hospital staff eventually forced us to put Esther's body in the morgue. Areli was stable, recovering in the hospital. Now there were a lot of other things to do. In this culture, it is required to bury the dead the next day. Our organization offered to fly Areli's family to Guatemala. I searched for flights and because of immigration issues, the only possible plan was to fly Areli's mom and aunt to the Mexican/Guatemalan border and to go by car from there. There was so much more to do but thanks to our friends everything got accomplished.
